The “Elas” project was created in 2021 to update policies focused on gender issues, as well as to address issues related to the role of women in the job market and society.

In addition to serving to study the topic and formulate internal policies, the project strengthens unity and integration among women in the Office.

To date, the initiative consists of two Committees, but others have already been created on a wide range of topics.

The Parenting Committee discusses the improvement of measures related to maternity leave in order to guarantee not only full breastfeeding until the beginning of the introduction of solid foods, but also greater peace of mind for the gradual return of women to the work routine.

The Leadership Committee, in addition to holding daily meetings with women who occupy (or have occupied) prominent positions, aims to formulate mentoring programs, with the purpose of preparing/encouraging women to take a leading role in their careers.

Through Elas, Duarte Garcia hopes to put into practice all the values ​​he believes in, contributing to the recognition of the role of women in our society and promoting engagement in the agenda of gender equality.
